Community News: Cleaner Beaches & Downtown For You

If you enjoy the clean beaches and downtown areas around Delray Beach, you have the hometown heroes named the Beach Keepers to thank. The wonderful organization is one of Welcome Back Home Care’s preferred charitable partners. Watch NBC tell their story with our very own Lee Berkowitz helping out!

Gratitude Corner: Nature & Love

A Poem by Robert Frost

We will always have Nature & Love. Please enjoy Robert Frost’s beautiful poem and Plato’s famous quotation.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
but only so an hour.

“Love is born into every human being; it calls back the halves of our original nature together; it tries to make one out of two and heal the wound of human nature.”
– Plato

Helpful Hint: Hurricane Isaias is Slow Moving

Tropical Storm force winds are arriving in SE Florida Saturday afternoon/evening.

Now’s the time to shelter in a secure place. The tropical storm / hurricane is predicted by the National Hurricane Center to be in our area from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning. This is a slow moving storm that can cause more damage than other hurricanes with the same wind-speed which move more quickly. Please heed the instructions of our local authorities for our safety. Call Lee (561-279-6400) if you need any help. We’re happy to help in any way we can. 🙂

Registered Nurse, Wife, & Mother

Christa Chang is the RN on our Welcome Back Home Care team. We’re blessed to have her helping our wonderful clients.

What is needed to be a great RN?
“Extensive knowledge, empathy, and patience.”

Why did you choose to work in the Home Health Care field?
“My love for my mom and grandmother is one of the main reasons why I enjoy home health nursing. Elderly people play a very important part in my life in guiding me as a better person. Being a nurse gives me the opportunity to return the favor.”

What is your joy outside of serving patients?
“I love spending time with my husband and son. I make sure that 100% of my presence is there with full love and attention.”

What are three things you are grateful for?
“Family and friends, good health, and working in a career that has meaning.”

Kind Words from Our Clients

“I would highly recommend this agency. . . Lee goes above and beyond as the owner of Welcome Back Home Care. Thank you for your reliability, flexibility, availability, accessibility, and all that you do for me and my parents.”

Helpful Tasks Your Caregiver can do for You

We know how hard it can be to keep up with daily tasks. Let us ease your efforts and take care of some of those tasks for you.

Sorting through daily mail: Caregivers will collect, sort, and pull out junk mail so you only need to spend time on important mail.

Medication Reminders: Your caregiver will remind you when to take your prescribed medication and help you set up digital reminders, too.

Bill organization: Want to get all of your bills in one place or organized by category? Just let your caregiver know and they will assist you with this task. You’ll know right where to look should you need to access something quickly.

Day-to-day necessities: Wiping down the counter, dishes after lunch, dressing, and many other daily tasks are what your caregiver is there for. Don’t be afraid to ask. We’re here for you!

Healthy Activity: Video Exercise
Enjoy Two Exercises in the Comfort of Your Own Home
